0:00 A Different Kind of Episode

[00:00:00] Dr. Christiane Schroeter: Welcome to the Happy Healthy Hustle. Today we are doing something a little different. We are not talking about business strategy or growth tactics. Today we are talking about the small things, the things that ground you, nourish you, and help you move through a full life with clarity and calm.

0:34 Why This Award Matters

[00:00:34] Dr. Christiane Schroeter: I am going to share my top five favorite products and rituals for May. But first, I want to celebrate something. My podcast has been nominated for the Top Women’s Podcaster Award in Education. Awards do not have to be flashy. It is not about ego or applause, it is about honoring the time, energy, and purpose behind something you build from scratch.

2:04 You Do Not Need a Big Launch

[00:02:04] Dr. Christiane Schroeter: When I started this podcast, it was just me, my microphone, and a message. Sometimes my message was a mess I experienced, so I made my mess my message. This nomination is proof that when you start with clear intention, that small moment can grow into something impactful. You do not need a big launch to make a big difference. You need alignment, consistency, and care.

3:01 The Psychology of Small Actions

[00:03:01] Dr. Christiane Schroeter: There is a concept I think about often called Self-Determination Theory, the idea that we thrive when three things are present: autonomy, competence, and connection. The Petite Practice touches all three. When I care for myself in small, meaningful ways, I build autonomy in how I lead my life, competence in my routines, and connection to myself, others, and my values.

4:15 One: Flameless Candles

[00:04:15] Dr. Christiane Schroeter: Number one, flameless candles. These LED candles might sound basic, but they are a core part of my evening rhythm. As the sun goes down, flicking them on signals to my nervous system that it is time to slow down. A soft flicker, no mess, no flame. It is visual regulation, and it works.

4:48 Two and Three: The Bath and the Moisturizer

[00:04:48] Dr. Christiane Schroeter: Number two, my Arnica muscle soak by the German company Weleda. It is part of my Friday ritual, the bath after my final workout of the week, marking the end of the workweek with rest instead of another task. Number three, Luxe Beauty Vanilla Moisturizer. It is clean and nourishing, and the founder created it while caring for her mother during cancer treatment. When I apply it, it is a reminder that thoughtful values matter.

6:04 Four and Five: Mint Tablets and Hair Tonic

[00:06:04] Dr. Christiane Schroeter: Number four, mouthwash tablets, chewable mint tablets that are great for travel, the car, or between meetings, no sink needed. Number five, my favorite, Rosemary Revitalizing Hair Tonic. I apply a few drops to my scalp each evening and massage it in. It is one of those behind-the-scenes products that quietly does the work, and I love the ritual of giving care to something that supports me every day.

7:10 Integration, Not Indulgence

[00:07:10] Dr. Christiane Schroeter: These five products, my top five for the fifth month, are part of my Petite Practice. They are not indulgences, they are integration. They help build a life that supports my energy, creativity, and ability to serve. Small beginnings handled with intention can become something truly powerful. Take care of yourself first, then go take care of the world.
